Sunrise of Soul

It has become an old story that many people find psychological satisfaction by talking about someone else's negative sides and problems. Especially people who are not touched by enough
education, they find a sort of entertainment there. Few are aware that behind this old habit there is a very dangerous psychological poison. Even less people know that it can make the soul grow from darkness to darkness.

In the world of psychology, one of the tools which is available to heal the soul is called conversation. The one that is often used in this case is called transactional analysis. After spending a long conversation with a number of meditation students who suffered dangerous diseases like cancer, it is very clear that they are surrounded by a strong aura of negative thinking. Even after spending years in conversation and listening to sacred teachings for many years, the aura does not change. Some of them have even died because the meditation failed to save them.

It left an important lesson, the old habit of negative thinking is deeply rooted in the soul of many people. It is like dirty clothes which are plunged into oil, it takes perseverance, consistency and hard work to make the soul totally cleaned. A friend who cleaned his soul using high-level teachings of Tantra for decades shared his story, the cleaning process happened in a very slow and gentle way. Even though he worked very hard for decades, once in a while he still felt angry in the dream.

In the language of psychology, society has thrown a lot of rubbish into the unconscious. The violence that has been done by society since childhood accumulating as garbage in the storage of the person's unconsciousness. Even for high-level practitioners, subconscious wastes still appears on the surface in the form of anger in the dream. It is simply unimaginable what happened to the psychological wastes of people who are not touched by education, who are not familiar with spiritual teachings.

A young man who had been treated by his psychiatrist for years shared his story in a meditation session, sometimes he wanted to throw glasses at the unknown person. And he did not understand the reason why. Even though the situation was dark and pessimistic, it was not too late to save the soul journey.

To politely move away from an environment which is full of violence is the first step. Including in this case the television, relationships and environments which lead to violence. Continuously train yourself to always think positively in looking at life is the second step. The determination to train oneself and never give up is your best friend in this regard. The skill of transforming the waste of problems into beautiful flowers of healing and peace is a skill that is mostly needed in this age.

These steps are much easier to be done by those who always look at the beautiful sides of life. Martha Roberts once wrote in the journal Psychologies Magazine (October 2016), it is not the big things that made life beautiful. It happened very often that little things can make life deeply beautiful. From feeling the warmth of the tea cup, being deeply thankful for the newly replace bedspreads or memorizing your beautiful childhood.

As has been shared many times in meditation sessions, life suffering is not punishment of God. It is the soul's way of calling you to immediately return to the home of love, kindness and compassion. This approach helps a lot of friends to process life wastes into beautiful flowers of healing. An old man from Central Bali who join the meditation session came using a wheelchair. On the third day he learned to let go of the wheelchair. Returning from meditation sessions he was able to walk normally. When he was asked the secret, he replied with a laugh: "there is no suffering, there is only blessing".

The last experience reminds us of an old message in the deep spiritual world: "when you diligently and sincerely always look at the beautiful sides of others, one day you will meet the most beautiful part of yourself". This is what is referred to as the sunrise of soul. It begins by looking at the beautiful sides of life itself. Later it is expanding to look at the the beautiful sides of others. The peak of the journey, someone will meet the most beautiful part of their own soul.

On the roof of earth called Tibet, there was a holy Guru whose heart was very beautiful. His name was Gyalse Ngulchu Thogme (1295-1369). Some time before his death, he asked all of his disciples to pray to make him reborn in the hell realm. Especially because it is in the hell realm where compassion is mostly needed. But a few minutes before his death, he whispered to his disciples: "I can not see the hell realm, I can only see the realms of Buddha". The lesson is simple, it is hard to imagine that beautiful butterfly landed for a long time in the trash. In the same way, it is hard to imagine that beautiful souls may be reborn in the lower realms. As the natural nature of flowers which are beautiful, the natural nature of the beautiful souls will be born in the beautiful realms.
