Similar to someone who holds a fishing-rod on
the beach, that's the life of independent souls in old age. Life may be full of
trials and tribulations, but souls will remain wealthy and rich of smiles. A
series of spiritual attainment which is very beautiful in old age.
Deeply learn from here, it is very very
important to train yourself to be independent from a young age. To be
independent in finance, to be independent in attitude, to be independent in
choosing the path of life. In the time when people are very poor of empathy,
without independence life will be full of temptations and trials.
And it is hard to deny, the root of all
independence is financial independence. In some spiritual families (in the West
in particular), without financial independence even the spiritual family and
spiritual Gurus can collapse. It is simply unimaginable what will happen to
restless and sleepless souls. The psychological and the spiritual temptations
will definitely be more intense.
The elders in the beautiful country of Japan
had a wonderful spiritual heritage. If you love children, do not give them
fishes, teach them how to make fishing-rods. While the fish will only make
children live for a few days, the skills of making fishing-rods can make them
live forever.
The following suggestion then, it is good to
have high education, no one forbid you to pursue high position, but it is very
important to master at least one skill in life. It can be the skill of
painting, writing, engineering, teaching, computer skills, until the skills
which are related with social media.
As experienced by a number of old friends
whose lives are secure and saved, in the times of financial crisis in
particular, the one who saves our life is not education but technical skills.
It is much more beautiful if you can find a skill that can make you healthy
financially, and can make the soul healthy as well.
A spiritual friend who loves gardening shared

but also deeply understands the growth of his soul within the garden. Through
gardening he learned spiritual connection, deeply learned from symbolical Gurus
in nature, including deeply understand that death is as simple as the falling
dry leaves.
The other life skills that needs to be
mastered since a young age is the skills of saving. A father whose life was
safe and secure told his children a simple but profound saving skill. One third
of the income is used to make life happy and healthy. One third is reserved for
school children. The remaining one third is prepared for the future backup. And
one of the good spiritual friends who helps you a great deal in this case is
inner contentment.
Anyone who is financially disciplined like
this, the chances of being able to survive in old age are very high. The last
financial independence can lead the soul to have spiritual independence. Jiddu
Krisnamurti was a very independent spiritual teacher. That's why the title of
his masterpiece is "Freedom From The Known" (to be
free from everything that was ever known).
And this kind of spiritual achievement can be
attained by Krisnamurti because he was very disciplined from a very young age.
The following homework then, immediately find the kind of life skills that can
make you financially and spiritually healthy. After that, learn to be
disciplined both financially and spiritually. For someone who is totally
disciplined from a young age, there is the possibility that someone can have
independent life in old age. A kind of spiritual diamond which is very rare in
this age.
