In the life of the commoners, eyes are the only organ which help us to see. But for the high-level spiritual seekers, like the samurai in Japan, eyes are swords which are much sharper than the ones that are made of wood or iron.
This story leaves a simple spiritual legacy, eyes can be used for the purposes which are far broader and deeper than just to see. In the world of soul healing, the eyes deeply help soul healers in the long journey of healing.
As can be seen in many meditation sessions, many meditation students cry even before they share their story. Some of the crying meditation disciples even came from a long distant countries. They have no ideas about who the teacher is.
After deep contemplation (for a long enough time) the eyes, which are full acceptance and understanding, keep sending beautiful vibrations and peaceful aura, which can make people easily cry. It is like the experience of meeting a mother who has been lost for countless years.
It simply means that the old legacy of the samurai of Japan is true. The human eyes can function much deeper and broader than just helping human beings to see. Let's look deeply into the human face. The mouth is only one, but the eyes and the ears are two.
The spiritual message is simple, the world of soul healing needs much more focus on the ears which listen and the eyes which are full of acceptance and understanding, compared to a mouth which is full of judgment and punishment.
Under this light of understanding, it is very important when you look at someone (especially when you find the suffering souls) to be totally free from any judgment and punishment. Especially the judgment that comes from the habit to measure others using our own measurement.
As soon as the eyes are free from judgment and punishment, whenever you meet people learn to ask this question to yourself: "what kind of suffering is it that this person has?" After raising such question inside, usually the energy of compassion arises from within.
The combination between the mind which is free from judgment and punishment, and the heart which is full of compassion, will help a person to receive the smiling eyes. These kind of human eyes are very calming. It is very calming to both the souls outside and the soul inside.
In the midst of this World which is getting hotter due to global warming, violence, terrorism and conflict here and there, humanity needs many more smiling eyes. A pair of eyes which are here to sprinkle holy water. Not the ordinary holy water, but the holy water of acceptance and compassion.
