Temple of Mind

A spiritual friend shared his sadness one day, he has converted his religion three times. And he has been cheated materially many times in these three religions. At the end of his grief, he asked: "In which temple should I worship now?".

This is  a specific story of restless souls, do not talk about money and power, even religion and God can become a source of pain. The point is simple, the darkness inside will guide a person to meet the darkness outside.

That's why all religions in early stage suggest to meet the light within. Once a person meets the light within, they do not just see the light outside, they also emits the light.

Mountain of Compassion

"Why spiritual seekers should meet harming enemies along the journey?", a woman asked. To be honest, spiritual journey is not a journey which is full of pleasure. In many parts, spiritual journey is even very painful.

There are two approaches available to explain the presence of harming enemies along the spiritual journey. The first approach is mirror like approach. In this approach, the presence of enemy is only a mirror that someone still has inner battle within themselves. The harder a person fight against themselves, the more external enemies will harm them.

Poetry In Silence

"I feel alienated in my own body, I feel lonely in the crowd", that's the complain of many meditation students. By having empty eyes, dry skin, lips that never say thank you, this type of person keep drinking poison for their soul. Without deep inner cultivation, those lost souls can experience spiritual down fall.

To be honest, many people in this age feel lonely in the crowd. In a series  of deep interviews with many meditation students, a number of friends whose daily life are cheerful and full of humor also experienced the same loneliness. Cheerfulness and laugher are only cloths to cover their painful loneliness inside. Deep within they missed something. The thing which remains a mystery for a long time.

Pendulum of Peace

One day a wife whose husband is suffering from a chronic heart disease was surprised because her husband won the lottery. Being afraid that something wrong could happen to her ​​husband, this nice woman ran to a Priest where they usually consult. With a gentle voice this Priest asked to the man who won the lottery: "what will you do if you win the lottery?". He firmly replied: "most of the money will go to you Priest ". Upon hearing the answer, this Priest died suddenly.

The lesson of this story is simple, life is like a pendulum. Each time the pendulum is pulled to an extreme point, it will be back to the other extreme. That's why meditation always underlines the importance of being in the middle.

Breeze of Peace

In some parts of the world, there are many friends who are afraid of certain group which is rumored to end another person's life in a very inhumane way. As a result, there is fear here and there. It is similar to environment which has been full of dark clouds, fearful life put some other more dark clouds.

In the past, there was a movie called license to kill. A kind of license for certain people to kill the others. Having studied the story in depth, the license come from the feeling of being right, the feeling of having discovered "the truth". These feelings of being right then make those people dare to end the other's life.

Flower of Love

One day a scientist in London will deliver an important speech. Sadly, he woke up too late. On the way to the seminar, he called a cab. As soon as he sit in the cab he immediately ordered the taxi driver: "please make it fast". After the taxi go very fast for one hour, the taxi driver asked back: "master where are you going?".

To be honest, this story is the story of modern life. Everywhere people move such quickly. And after body is sick, family is broken, children have many problems, some even being jailed, then people begin to understand that life run quickly but to the wrong direction.

Seeds of Peace

Once upon a time there was a rich person who hold their wealth on the backs keep asking from one house to another in the village. The question of this rich man is simple, anyone who could give him a moment of peace, he will give his wealth to that person. And wherever he asked, all villagers recommend the name of Nasrudin

After arriving at the edge of the village where Nasrudin lived, this rich person complained how his life became such complicated, chaotic and far from peace. Without giving any answer, Nasrudin suddenly rob the bag of this rich person which has been carried wherever he go, then Nasrudin run quickly.

Consequently, this stressful man was panicked, confused, angry and then chase Nasrudin from behind. Suddenly there was a funny scene that happen in the village. All villagers know who Nasrudin is, that's why they just get laughed. Having tired of chasing Nasrudin, this rich man then sat down and wept sadly. At the peak of his sadness, suddenly Nasrudin return his bag complete with the precious belongings within.
