Holy Water of Peace

One of the beautiful message of Upanishads is : "I lost my self in searching. I rediscover myself in the service to the others. In the depth of service, the servant and the served are one".

Any spiritual seekers whose spiritual eyes are opened will see, there are so many souls who are get lost nowadays. Suicide rates are rising everywhere, victims of drugs are increasing, there is no sign that corruption will stop. These are some examples of the lost souls.

Much deeper than that, many people who plunge into lower realms after death. Those who are very tricky reborn as snakes, those who like to fight reborn as wild dogs. And after being reborn there, they're not only deeply suffer, but also very difficult to them to be back as human beings.

In contrast to the lost souls who deeply hungry and thirsty, the shining souls who has return back home are not only far from hungry, they also find beauty in the service to others. It does not matter it is a large-scale services such as Mother Teresa, or small-scale services such as mothers who take good care of children at home. These kind of shining souls find deep beauty in service.

For the people who are hungry and thirsty, service is deeply painful. They are not only suffered, they also see service as the moments of losing time, effort, money and energy. But for beautiful souls who step back home already, service is like fountain of peace that will never dry.

As have been experienced by the luminous souls like Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela, on the surface service appear to be full of burden. But in the depths of the deep, caring service enable many souls to have a beautiful inner garden.

Initially the ego is shrinking. The feeling of being more important, higher and smarter which obscure the spiritual journey slowly is annihilated by the caring service. There are still pain and suffering of course but slowly shrinking because of the shrinking ego.

Consistency and sincerity then make the emotional body inside so immune from insults and curses. Surprisingly, when the power of ego getting weaker, the sense of connectedness getting stronger.

One of the important sign, people begin to see themselves everywhere. In a simple but profound language: "You see your flower in everyone's eyes". You do not only see your flower in the eyes of innocence, you also see your flower in the eyes of the enemy. Similar to what is done by the sun to the bud, scolding enemies also make life blooms beautifully.

On the path of devotion, this attainment is called unity. The symbolical figure is one. On the path of knowledge (jhnana), this attainment is called freedom. The symbolical figure is zero. In the space between one and zero, there is holy water which is sprinkled, that is the holy water of peace.
