Many seekers on the path of light asked impatiently, how can we meet the
light quickly? One of the beautiful way to meet the light is to see every being
as light. This approach is called mirroring. It is similar to see a light in
the mirror, the one who see the mirror also gets the reflected light.
After hearing this opinion, a woman asked impatiently: "do the liars also bring light to
us?". Certainly, especially when one learns deeply after being cheated.
Look at the characteristics of the liars, the way they lie to you. After deeply
learning from this, the chance of being cheated next time is far smaller.
With this perspective in mind, light seekers will meet mirror that
reflecting light everywhere. Every beings you encounter keep reminding that you
are light. Every beings keep ringing the bell of consciousness that you are
light which grow in a body, you are not a body who are looking for a light.
On the path of meditation especially, here's the way to put this idea into
practice. Whenever there is a chance, try to breathe bit slower than usual.
Breath in, I am light. Breath out, I'm sharing the light to the world.
This is not a fantasy which is not supported by holy books. Many sacred
books which telling that soul is light. Many spiritual seekers know and see the
light already. In a simple logic of electricity, whenever the negative and the
positive are synthesized (not rejecting the negative or attaching to the
positive), then naturally light will appear.
As a result, slow but sure the darkness of ignorance and anger within are
illuminated. This explains why the face of some spiritual seekers are shining,
their messages are full of light, their life become source of light to the
many.
When Nelson Mandela was ready to leave the prison, he whispered to himself
like this: "If I do not forgive those who put me in jail for 27 years, I
will bring a prison in my head wherever I go". This is the story of light.
Even after being imprisoned for 27 years, Mandela was still able to forgive.
One day HH the Dalai Lama was asked: "Your holiness, are you going to
reborn?". With a smile the receiver of peace Nobel in the year of 1989
replied: "Of course, there is no doubt about it". When he was asked
back, where he will reincarnate, with a calm face this honorary citizen of
United States replied: "I will reborn wherever I will be needed. If I will
be needed in the realm of animals then I will reincarnate as animal."
While most spiritual seekers are very busy of freeing themselves from the
realm of samsara, the luminous souls like HH the Dalai Lama took a vow like
this: "as long as there is space, as long as there are beings, let me take
rebirth again and again to dispel the darkness of suffering".
This is the characteristics of luminous souls who met the light already.
While the ordinary people hate the darkness, light say thank you to darkness.
Simply because the kindness of darkness then we can see the beautiful light. In
this level of attainment, life changes his face into the hug of compassion.
Light is here not to be the enemy of darkness, light is here to illuminate the
darkness.
