The Inner Tree

A western psychologist interviewed a lot of people who have experience listening to other peoples problems. The result was very touching. Eighty percent of respondents said that they did not care. Twenty percent of them said they were happy to know that the other people have worse problems than themselves.

As we all know, the West knew civilization much earlier, they are much richer materially as well, but if in such an environment people do not care about each other, what  happens in developing countries where they know no school, where people are still fighting hard to feed themselves? As widely known in Eastern philosophy, there are always two sides of the same coin, we call life.

The touching tendency of civilization like this, on the one hand of course it makes us sad. But on the other hand it provides an invitation to start planting the inner trees. Without the perseverance to plant the inner trees, over a matter of time, life will have no shelter at all. Old age will be full of problems and disasters.

To forgive the past is an important seed in this case. As a material of contemplation, even the saint has a dark past. When we were children and teenagers, we all made mistakes. The quantity and the quality of mistakes of course are different from one person to the next. However, these mistakes will become the seeds of growth, when one concentrates on the lessons that come from the past, not focusing on the punishment.

The seed will be much better if you can use your mistakes from the past as materials to guide the new generation not to repeat the same mistakes. The seeds produced in this case will be much healthier and stronger. And no matter how healthy and how strong the seeds are, it requires a supporting environment.

For that reason, it is important to surround yourself with people who can see a speck of light within you. The characteristics of such people are simple. They do not compete too much, they rarely criticize, their lips  rarely use strong words. It would be better if we can respect each other in the middle of the differences.

After making sure the seed is planted in the well-fertile soil, remember also to water the seeds every day. The point is simple, allocate enough time to do something that makes your soul happy. If you like to read please read, for those who love sports lets enjoy sports, friends who love gardening please spend enough time in the garden, spiritual seekers who love meditation or yoga, it is healthy for them to meditate and practice yoga.

There are some inner signs indicating that the seeds begin to grow in a healthy way. The quantity and the quality of sleep getting better, one experience far less nightmare. The physical body does not indicate any signs of dangerous illness. The surrounding  people are comfortable because of your presence. The inner emotion beginning to be more relax from day to day. That is some of the inner signs telling that the inner tree is beginning to grow in a healthy way.

Anyone who is diligently taking good care of the inner trees like this, one day the inner tree will blossom in a beautiful way. The inner omen is simple, you can be happy to see other people happy. You find deep happiness by making the others happy. At the very least, you are not interested in hurting the people who hurt you.

From the moment when the inner tree blossoms, every step of everyday life can lead someone into a beautiful home of soul. Quoting the spiritual legacy of Morihei Ueshiba (the founder of Aikido martial arts), there are many paths leading to the top of Mount Fuji. But there is only one peak which is love. Once a soul arrives here, spiritual seekers are no longer too hungry from the recognition of others. On the other hand, they can be a peaceful tree for the surrounding people. Welcome home beautiful souls.
