Sunrise of Peace

One day Nasrudin discovered a human skull in the forest, when he asked what brought the skull to the woods, the skull answered: "talking brought me here". Hearing a miracle like this, Nasrudin made a report to the king about the talking skull.

The King along with his troops then asked the skull. Sadly, the skull was completely silent. As a consequence of it, Nasrudin was executed by the king. As soon as the King left the forest, the skull asked Nasrudin's head, what brought you here? Firmly Nasrudin's head replied: "talking brought me here".

The message of this funny story is simple, there is time in spiritual life when seekers should stop learning by talking, then learn to understand by putting the teachings into practice. A path of understanding which is much deeper.

There are many spiritual students who complained that they can understand the teachings intellectually, but they have difficulty in implementing the teachings. This is understandable because the actions are not always in line with the
knowledge. In many theories of action have been written, the actions are the fruit of very long habituation.

This explains why many people do not want to be angry, but they are still angry. Many human beings refuse to have sadness, but they are still sad. At this point, one needs to learn leaving behind words, then entering the gate of understanding by doing. Especially to familiarize the soul with the new habitual energy.

There is an analogy that talking is like
sweeping. As a result of sweeping, the floor is cleaner indeed, but the dust flies everywhere. Implementation in silence is similar to mopping. The floor is clean and clear without dust.

But the task of
mopping will be much easier if one sweep the floor first. Put it simply, before spiritual seekers enter the gate of implementation in silence, they are suggested to be mature with dialogues and discourses first. Without passing through deep dialogues and discourses, silence will be characterized by many unhealthy inner dialogues.

In line with this spirit, years ago there was a ritual in India called Brahmodya. The last ritual began with very intensive debates. And all debates were endless. In the moment when spiritual disciples know deeply that there is no end to debate, by then they can enter the gate of deep silence.

This is the beginning of inner centering. The sign is simple; one can smile beautifully at every blessing of present moment. Mainly because seekers have seen with their own eyes, everything
is the smile of the same perfection.

From the quiet and balance inner pond then self knowledge bloom. As soon as coming to this stage, Tantra teacher Saraha whispered to himself: "My body is my most sacred temple". As a result, life changes into a sunrise of peace.
