Religion in Action

The proliferation of atheists in the West has especially show us that more people are becoming more distant from religion. To be exact, taking enough distance from any religious organizations. Especially because everywhere the sense of charismatic from these religion continues to decline. In the East there are not many different. Not a few of young generations are hungry for answers, then become very disappointed when their questions were answered with dogmas and ceremonies. Moreover, after seeing a piece of religious teachings used to injure and even kill other people, not a few have left their religion eventhough they only keep this in their heart.
Learning from here, it is important to reflect on from the very beginning to be religious in accordance with the demands of the present era. This era is characterized by the higher average of human education. And humans trust their eyes more than their ears. One important reason why the authority of religion is greatly reduced because human ears hear a lot of beautiful things in religious scriptures but their eyes saw lack of beautiful things from those in the world of religion. It is improper and unbeautiful to talk about other people’s flaws and imperfections. Especially in public spaces.

“When you go to the mirror and see pimples on your face, never break the mirror. But treat the pimples, “said an old message. The message here is, when you see many things that are not beautiful on the outside, do not use them as a material to cause problems. Instead, use it as an input so that the inner garden becomes more beautiful. For this reason, the first and foremost step towards a beautiful garden of soul is to talk only about beautiful things inside. In meditation sessions it is often open it secrets, friends who are easily get sick had an inner conversation that is full of criticism and resistance. Both to himself and also to the others.
What usually happens, humans use the ideal measures of religion, or ideal measures from other places to measure contemporary life. Because life grows dynamically, while the measurements are not dynamic, there is a clash in the mind. Between the actual and the right. From here comes the conclusion that religion has made many people becomes mentally ill. The ideal measures of religion make the human mind harden like stone. While life is actually always flows like water. This is the estuary of a lot of excessive criticism of ourself, as well as the beginning of many life on fire.
“Surrender to what is”, that’s a message that is often heard in the world of meditation. That is to say, to have a beautiful inner conversations, learn to embrace the present moment. Without any terms or conditions. In its deeper form, train yourself to be friendly with any kind of inner discomfort. Especially because although someone has been religious , practising meditation, and pray everyday, the inner inconvenience will always come to visit us again and again. It is as simple as a dark rainy season that comes every year. The inner garden of the soul will begin to grow beautifully, once a person begins to accept any kind of discomfort, as natural as he/she accept the arrival of the rainy season.
The initial signs to get there is, someone starts to talk more about beautiful things inside. Concretely, he/she start to be able to see the beautiful sides of the problem. Starting to be more grateful and thankful. Like a beautiful garden of flower that invites bees, positive and beautiful inner conversations also inviting a beautiful face of life. In the West there are those who call it the law of attraction. For this reason, after the conversation inside has become more beautiful, the second step in making the garden of soul more beautiful is to guard yourself with kindness in action. Anytime and anywhere, once there is an opportunity to do good, try to quickly take actions.
From turning off the light switch that was forgot to be turned off, moving a stone that potentially can cause danger in the middle of the road, helping elderly people who want to cross, hugging a crying child, to sincerely listening to lonely old people. On the actual it is often seen, people who understand life through acts of kindness, the light of their souls are far more beautiful than those who understand life only through reading and debate. Sadly, those who uses readings to attack and bring other people down, many of them slides down to a dangerous ravines of life in a very touching conditions.
The third step that is not less important in making the garden of soul beautiful is learning to be thankful and grateful. There is no bridge of connectedness that is stronger and more beautiful than a heart full of gratitude. With this type of bridge, one will never feel lonely. The whole world seems to be our best friend. On this path there is often a beautiful message like this: “Prayer is not created to make life always beautiful. Prayer is created so that the soul always smiles beautifully. Including a beautiful smile to life when problem arise”.
The unique combination of a beautiful inner conversations, beautiful daily attitude and a beautiful heart will transform the human body into a walking lantern. Not only when life is bathed in the light of praise and success, even when life is visited by darkness, someone still sees their way out. In Carl Jung’s psychology, this is called synchronicity. Life is characterized by coincidences that are rich in meanings. There are many unplanned meaningful encounters. Where there are questions, there is an answer. Where there is a problem, there is a way out.
At this level, someone is no longer being hungry with a holy book outside. A beautiful heart, that is the inner holy book that have no endings. While some people are good because they are being threatened by prison and hell, these beautiful souls are doing good because they find their house of soul there. It is as simple as a dolphin that finds the ocean, as simple as a butterfly that finds a garden. This is exactly what is meant by religion in action. This is also the face of religion that is very much needed by the new generation that has been touched by a much higher education.
