Soul Mate

"The souls who are full of holes wants to heal other souls who are full of holes,” that’s how some Western writers describe their government in their country. Endless corruptions, politicians who never stop quarrelling, poor services are all signs that their souls are full holes. The mass population who always protest, never feel satisfied, some even taking part in dangerous violence is also signs of soul holes.

As a result, there is a frightening level of violence everywhere. People talk about violence in developing countries, but even in countries where the system has advanced (and is mature) such as United States, there are touching incidents like Orlando (June 2016). In a very short time, the innocent people who committed no mistakes were shot dead in a public area.

The disturbing stories of soul holes do not only mark the public spaces, they are also present within the private areas which are very personal. One of the dominant signs are restless and sleepless souls here and there. To make it short, there is always the feeling of being incomplete inside that needs to be covered.

Beautiful Old Age

An old friend who lives in Jakarta shared his sad story of being chased by the bad memory of the horror that happened in 1965. Another friend who is growing old in Bali is also being troubled by the guilty feelings that come from the past. Some soul healers from the United States reported, on average there are 22 elderly Vietnam veterans who are committing suicide every day. Once again, they are chased by guilty feelings from the past.

In meditation classes, there are many more stories of people growing older which are far from beautiful. The point is simple, because of religious factors and social norms many people punished themselves, label themselves as wrong, bad or dirty because of some misbehavior in the past. And all the so-called wrong, bad and dirty acts are then thrown into the psychological warehouse deep within. In psychology, some people call it the subconscious. There are also some others who call it a shadow.

Back To The Source

"Ocean of complexity", that is the appropriate title which can be given to friends whose life is plunged into a dangerous abyss. Being dissatisfied with your life partner is a complexity, having a love affair with someone else is another complexity. Having a parent who died at a young age is a complexity, suspecting the neighbor of sending black magic is another complexity. The feeling of being poor is of course a form of complexity, being corrupt and then being jailed is a more dangerous complexity.

Spiritual Attainment

In the moments of meeting restless and sleepless souls, there’s always the strong energy deep within their souls of comparing their lives to others. Someone who walks compares themselves with those who ride motorcycles. Those who feel poor compare themselves with the rich. The result is predictable, their souls are not only restless and sleepless, but they also have the feel of being alienated in their own body.

This feeling of being alienated in their own body makes many seekers keep seeking here and there, and finally they find nothing. Before life sinks into a deep crisis, it is worth contemplating again and again to make the reverse journey. From the outer journey of comparing with the others, to the inner journey of rediscovering the gem within oneself.
