Back To The Source

"Ocean of complexity", that is the appropriate title which can be given to friends whose life is plunged into a dangerous abyss. Being dissatisfied with your life partner is a complexity, having a love affair with someone else is another complexity. Having a parent who died at a young age is a complexity, suspecting the neighbor of sending black magic is another complexity. The feeling of being poor is of course a form of complexity, being corrupt and then being jailed is a more dangerous complexity.

Similar to people who want to dispel darkness using a broom. On the one hand they won't get the light, on the other hand they will be very tired. Like animals falling into a dangerous swamp, the more they move, the deeper they sink. The situation is similar to a tree which is full of dry leaves, it is time to look deeper into the roots. To put it more precisely,  it is time to go back to the source.
On the path of meditation, we can say: "You are not disturbed by the other people, you are disturbed by your untrained mind". Comparing excessively, never feeling satisfied, feeling restless and sleepless, full of trouble at home, full of problems in the office, these are some examples of people who are deeply disturbed by their own untrained mind.

It is like the very dirty pond, everything appears to be dark within. There is no other way to see clearly unless we make the pool calm, clear and clean. Once the pond  is clean and clear, then we can see clearly what should be done in life.

To make the mind calm, clear and clean, that's the most important task within meditation. You can be swayed by the environment, but learn to create the appropriate distance from the environment. You can be deeply disturbed by excessive desire, but learn to simplify your life. You can have a troublesome life, but learn to be calm.

And the root of all roots, the source of all sources, no matter what happens in life keep it flowing. Similarly to night flowing into day, pain at one time flows into pleasure at another time. Suffering on certain days, flows into a blessing in another day. Sadness at a given moment can be a happiness at another moment. Whether you like it or not, that is the law. Some people call this God.

Forcing joy should last forever, that's the root of all hassle. Those who believe a life of pure continuous joy will last forever will suffer throughout life. Strongly attaching your mind to the view that success should be continuous (again and again), that's the river that brings someone's life flowing into the ocean of complexity. If you want to heal yourself and your surrounding, learn to deeply understand the nature that everything flows. And at the same time learn to flow perfectly with every blessing of the moment, that's the seeds of healing and peace that you plant in the soul garden within.

In the zen philosophy there is an old saying; "meditation is to eat when you are hungry, to drink when you are thirsty, to sleep when you are sleepy". To put it simply, every moment in your life can be transformed into profound meditation,  as long as you keep flowing.

In the moment when you feel hungry, learn to flow by eating. At the time when you feel thirsty, learn to flow by drinking. When you feel sleepy, simply go to sleep. And all friends whose meditation practice is growing know, those who do the their best in the present moment, are actually preparing themselves for the best future.

In this approach to life, the mind will easily reach a state of being calm, clean and clear. At the same time this is also a wonderful way to get away from the ocean of complexity. At this level of a calm, clean and clear mind, we hear a message like this: "like a pair of wings of the birds, wisdom and compassion  are the source of all sources".
