The Art of Saying Yes

In the practice of leadership, one of the important skills is practicing the courage to say no. Particularly to say no to everything that is against the mission and the vision of the organization. Without enough courage to say no, then any organization will easily collapse.

In the world of soul growth, human beings need another skill. To be frank, the behavior of people in this age is rather strange, not only from people who are highly educated, who have high positions, who have high social status like to say no, even those who do not have enough education and having restless souls like to fight and say no.

Let's look deeply to the human interaction in many medias, including social media, here and there we can see souls who like to fight. They mistakenly assume that there are a lot of happiness and gladness in their habit of saying no. As we all experience in daily life, the more we say no the more the inner soul keeps burning inside.

Leaving Light on Earth

Aging is a natural process. It happens to everyone. However, suffering is optional. That's the message which is often discussed among the luminous souls. All bodies will definitely grow old. All human bodies will weaken in old age. But suffering is a series of choices which are made by a person since they were young.

Sadly, event though this message is widely known by many people, we can see the tragedy of old age here and there. A friend who is a psychologist in Yogyakarta shared his story, even when his father has died long time ago, but the family members keep blaming the father because soul wounds which the father created for the other family members as a result of divorce.

The Most Beautiful Offering

In all religions there are people who yearn to worship and make offerings. It is a kind of soul which is longing to return home. This is the objective of many spiritual practices. Sadly, not too many people who deeply miss their soul home, find their peace. Many souls grow from uncertainty to anxiety.

Being driven by uncertainty and anxiety like this, Arjune asked Shri Krishna for an honest insight, viewing Shri Krishna as the embodiment of God. When the dialogue entered the territory of offering, with a beautiful smile, Shri Krishna replied: "if you do it sincerely and honestly, water and flowers alone are more than enough".

The Petals of Soul

The human soul appears to have an endless mystery. The findings of Sigmund Freud about the unconsciousness, or the ideas of Carl G. Jung about the shadow, apparently is not the ultimate end of human efforts to uncover the mysteries of the human soul. The findings of seekers in this field will continue to flow without knowing when and where it will stop.

Within the framework of Freud's unconsciousness, or Jung's shadow, all negative emotions which are suppressed for various reasons are thrown into the warehouse of subconsciousness. One day when the warehouse is full, then it will come to the surface in the form of stress, depression, illness and some people even go crazy.

Bringers of The Dawn

"Life is not a puzzle to be solved, but a series of smiles to be shared"

There's darkness that touches the heart everywhere. Not only in developing countries do people grow in a fearful way, in the well-developed countries a growing number of people also live in a fearful way. The author of the book 'History of God' by Karen Armstrong, called it a great irony of our time. In many rich countries a growing number of human beings can not eat, not because of poverty, but because of life's uncertainty.

And darkness is not here to destroy the light. In contrast, darkness is here  to invite as many souls as possible to be the bringers of the dawn. Not many people are blessed to be as bright as Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela or Mahatma Gandhi. No matter how limited our capacity is, we can be a bringer of the dawn in our surrounding environment.

Whenever we meet thousands of parents of children with special needs, there is always an aura of darkness which deeply miss bright light. Many parents of the children with special needs ask the same questions, what is my fault, what is my sin, if I die who will take good care of my child, why should my child have special needs?
