Temple of Mind

A spiritual friend shared his sadness one day, he has converted his religion three times. And he has been cheated materially many times in these three religions. At the end of his grief, he asked: "In which temple should I worship now?".

This is  a specific story of restless souls, do not talk about money and power, even religion and God can become a source of pain. The point is simple, the darkness inside will guide a person to meet the darkness outside.

That's why all religions in early stage suggest to meet the light within. Once a person meets the light within, they do not just see the light outside, they also emits the light.

Meditation is one way to meet the inner light. Similar to the electric light that synthesizes negative-positive, meditation also go beyond all dualities like negative-positive, then take a rest in the middle as a witness. Krisnamurti called it as choiceless awareness (awareness which does not discriminate).

When one rest in the middle as a witness then they are no longer pulled back by the past, they are no longer jump into the future, they finally rest in the eternal present. One who is drawn by the guilt of the past is tempted by depression, soul who is afraid of the future is full of anxiety. And any person who perfectly rest in this moment, they return back to the home of peace.

In Tantra people often discuss the spiritual secret behind sex. And one of the reasons why sex is so attractive to many people, because sex makes people are thrown into the present moment. For those souls  who never being touched by deep meditation, they only return back to the present moment when they have sexual relationship.

By sharing this teaching, it does not mean that this article suggest sexual freedom. Again it is not. It's just an illustration, when consciousness return back to the present moment, then gate of peace is opened.

The characteristic of soul who have entered the gate of peace is simple, their mind is so innocent like small children. That's why one of the meanings of meditation is the art of being innocence. It is free from ego, it is free from judgment, it is free from all dualities.

From the womb of innocence then inner light presence. The signs are simple, there is flower in the waste, there is waste in the flower. There is mud in the lotus, there is lotus in the mud. Suffering in certain year can be a blessing in another year. Enemy in this life can become dear friend on the other life.

As experienced by many deep inner travellers, this kind of bright mind will see omen in nature in the form of light. And the light outside is only the reflection of the true light inside. When the light outside and the light inside merge peacefully, by then one finds the inner temple. The sufis who arrived here would mutter Ana'lhaq, the disciples of Upanishad will whisper Aham Brahmasmi. This is the brightest temple of mind that ever heard.
