Portable Heaven

In our modern life, there are a lot of people who keeps offering heaven. The material world complete with their advertising and promotion keep showing smiles everyday. Some of them smiles while offering cars and some others smiles while offering insurance services and savings for the future of children.

The characteristic of material world is simple, they keep offering sedative from outside. A Car salesman will always promise that you can be happy with the new car. If the purchased car can not make you happy, they will offer another new car with a more expensive price. And the end result can be easily predicted, happiness inquirers like this are not only endless, but also make many souls get exhausted. In the west where the material life is praised, the statistic of social diseases keep increasing from year to year.

Having realized the dry characteristic of material life, a lot of seekers begin to stop searching heaven outside, then learn to find paradise that is available abundantly within. Meditation is one of the way to find the abundant paradise inside.

For that reason, one important definition of meditation is the perseverance to keep smiling at each blessing of the moment. In the moment of numbness, learn to smile. In the time when the mind is peaceful, learn to smile. Whenever the surrounding atmosphere is noisy or quiet, learn to smile.

The perseverance to constantly smiling like this slowly bring deep impact to the life within. At the beginning, it was strange, especially because one is requested to smile on negative things like numbness. Ultimately, this deep practice of smiling bring deep peace within.

The direct effect of smiling in this way, the quantity and the quality of inner quarrelling dropped dramatically. Once all inner quarrelling stop, by then the inner life can be as peaceful as wide ocean.

In line with this, in the head of earth called Tibet there are many teachers who are called as Lama. La means ocean. Ma means the perfect love of a mother. In summary, as soon as the inner quarrelling finish, naturally someone will have the mind which is as wide as the ocean. From the ocean of mind like this then appear perfect love for all creatures.

Any spiritual seekers who have direct experience like this, they bring portable heaven wherever they go. Whether they are at home, on the road, at work, they meet heaven everywhere. Not because people respect them or give them some money, but because the mind is free from the grip of judgment, the eyes keep seeing life with the eyes of love.

Where there is mind which is as wide as the ocean meet the eyes which keep seeing with love, that is where souls can find a very calming heaven and paradise.
