Just in the case peace can be bought by using
money all the rich people will buy it. Unfortunately, peace cannot be bought,
peace can only be found by digging within.
Womb of Contentment
Similar to baby who is ready to take rebirth,
the uterus from where the baby of peace will reborn is inner contentment. It is
hard to imagine there is deep peace without inner contentment. Not only
satisfied of money and praise, but also being satisfied of knowledge
accumulation and spiritual attainment.
The story that the excessive hunger of money and
praise create misery we have heard it very often. But in deep spirituality, the
excessive hunger of knowledge accumulation and spiritual attainment like enlightenment
also create misery. As widely known by many spiritual seeker
For that reason, there is no other option except to train oneself to have inner contentment.
People in the big city are good teachers. In the big city, human beings are over pursuing not only material possessions but also enlightenment. And the result, look at the scarcity of peace in big city. The lesson is simple, peace is not something to be pursued. Peace is the fruit of a deep inner contentment. even in the spiritual world there is ocean of dissatisfaction.

Nurse of Unity
After the baby of peace was born, the baby needs
appropriate treatment. And as often shared in many meditation sessions,
suffering is pain multiplied by resistance. Inspired by this, the first job of
the nurse is to reduce resistance. The smaller the resistance, the less the
suffering.
In deep spirituality, there is great
transformation from being two into being one, then finally lead to zero. At the
beginning of the journey, people start the journey with being two (worshiper
and worshiped, I and you, us and them, friend and foe). Spiritual growth (by
way of devotion, meditation, yoga, prayer, etc.) then makes the two merge into
one. The characteristic is simple, there is our suffering in the other's suffering,
there is our happiness in the other's happiness.
This is the experience of unity, it is the best
nurse to the newly born of peace. On the path of meditation especially, it is
often heard that peace is step, step is peace. For those who experience oneness
will understand, when we eat we just eat. When we sweep we just sweep. Some
even have a beautiful expression like this: "Washing the dishes for the
sake of washing the dishes". In this way, the baby of peace grows
healthily under the good care of a nurse called unity.
Butterfly of Peace
One day when sadness deeply tempting the
journey, there's a question to the inner Guru, what is the energy behind
sadness? Not long afterwards a beautiful butterfly landed on hand. The message
is simple, the suffering mind is like jumping frogs. They jump here and there
and never find honey of peace. Butterflies do not need to jump here and there,
butterflies fly to the center point of flower and finally find honey of
peace.
This is similar to the spiritual legacy of the
mythologist Joseph Campbell: "there is center of quietness within, if you
lose that center you begin to fall". There is center of stillness and
peace within. Anyone who rest perfectly in this center, he/she does not only
find peace, he/she is peace.
This is the peace that has been treated well by the nurse of
unity, and then grows into a beautiful butterfly. In this stage, soul is
similar to butterfly which fly back and forth to represent the beauty of peace.
Just in the case they have to land, they know where the honey of peace is.
Welcome home beautiful souls.
